The L3Harris Integrated Vision Solutions sector operations team is responsible for providing our manufacturing operations with the vision, technology, and expertise they need through the entire production process. In this role you will work with cross-functional teams across program management, product engineering & design, and operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Engage in design to production of manufacture of image intensifier tubes (night vision) and product applications in cleanroom and manufacturing assembly environment.
  • Use lean, manufacturing engineering, automation and digital technologies to design a manufacturing environment driving cost leadership, world class quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Automation and technical support for launching new equipment to enhance production on image intensifier tubes (night vision) and product applications.
  • Guide design of experiments to support new production and existing legacy products for yield improvement
  • Provide design for manufacturability balanced between theoretical and real world situations
  • Responsible for ensuring proper operation and maintenance of chambers, production equipment and other advanced manufacturing equipment.
  • Engage in process safety analysis, ergonomic assessments, and process improvement activities
  • Partner with the Engineering and Quality to integrate design and process integrity processes such as xFMEAs and Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years experience in industrial / electronics design and manufacturing environments
  • Bachelors engineering, technology or related field
  • Experience in photometry
  • Prior automation, process and manufacturing engineering experience preferred
  • Working CAD knowledge (Solidworks, Autodesk, etc.)
  • Experience in lean manufacturing environments
  • Appreciation for building and working with materials hands on
  • Detail-oriented, curious and eager to learn about new manufacturing technologies and their applications
  • Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize, plan, and execute work
  • Thrives in a fast pace and adaptable environment
  • Demonstrate the highest levels of leadership integrity, openness, compliance and honesty in all business interactions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if necessary, desired
  • Degree in optical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science or equivalent with electro-optical systems experience.
  • LabVIEW, CAD experience, automation experience
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
