Job description

StuDocu was founded on the principle that equal access to study notes reduces inequality between students. We make it easy for students to share notes. The product was a rocket ship from day one, and has shown strong product-market fit on every continent, making us a key player in the exploding EdTech space. We just received a $50 million series B investment so we’re in rapid growth and scale mode, and we need serious talent to help us make it happen.
The key to StuDocu’s rapid growth is the viral loop at the centre of the product: the more study materials students add, the more students we attract; the more students we attract, the more study materials they add. Currently, this loop is heavily dependent on SEO, so we’re building out our Growth Team to find new acquisition opportunities outside of SEO.
We already have a dedicated Performance Marketer, PR Specialist, CRM Marketer and Field Marketing Specialist. We need a scale-minded Senior Growth Marketer, with a keen commercial instinct, to help unify these various disciplines, and to test and scale new playbooks on unexplored channels across the full funnel. You’ll operate with a lot of autonomy, setting your own strategy and budgets, and reporting to the VP Growth.

What you'll be doing here:

  • Your number one priority is to find and scale new acquisition playbooks.
  • Your second priority is to leverage marketing channels to engage with existing users, increasing conversion and retention rates and turning them into vocal advocates of our mission and product.
  • Conduct market, user and quantitative research to find scalable marketing opportunities.
  • Autonomously manage the daily execution of your chosen marketing activities on multiple channels: user research; defining the tactics and targets; implementing tracking; writing copy and designing creatives; launching tests; analysing and reporting on results.
  • Run your own data analyses to calculate ROI and report on successes, failures and insights to the VP Growth and rest of the company.
  • Help build our marketing foundations: brand identity and guidelines; segments; personas; customer journey maps; design assets; Tone-of-Voice guidelines and boilerplate copy.
  • Work with our Design Team to conduct user research and iterate on brand assets and creatives.
  • Help raise the bar of all marketing activities, acting as a go-to leader for all marketers and contributing to every teams’ projects to ensure StuDocu operates with industry best practices.

  • You're located in Amsterdam, or willing to relocate (at our expense, of course).
  • Great team player. Growth is a team sport.
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, with proven experience working autonomously to launch new channels and campaigns from scratch.
  • 3+ years taking the lead in any marketing function, owning the development of successful strategies end-to-end.
  • Deep knowledge of how to market to Millennials and Gen Z.
  • Deep knowledge of many different marketing channels, such as field marketing, social media, influencer marketing, PPC, video ads, landing page CRO, content marketing, email marketing, etc..
  • Deep knowledge of many marketing tools, such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, BuzzSumo, BuzzStream,…
  • Advanced data analysis skills using BI tools, Google Analytics and Google Sheets.
  • A solid understanding of A/B testing, statistical analyses and scalable insight tracking.
  • Advanced experience with pixel and event tracking and Google Tag Manager (via Segment).
  • Creative and rational approach to problem solving, but goal-oriented with a bias for action.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator, with a knack for synthesising complex information into clear and concise insights.

The hiring process:
