Responsible for optimising packaging plans to minimise supply chain costs within operational constraints.
Owns the MPS for one factory and liaises with the Production Scheduler to ensure plan is delivered.
To balance Service, Stock and Manufacturing Cost by understanding and managing all main planning parameters (like Safety Stock, EOQ, etc.) as well as site constraint.
The Production Planner’s main responsibility is to plan production with a very high level of understanding of the tradeoffs between service, stock and manufacturing costs.
Job holder is the primary contact is the schedulers at site level to finalise production plans and discuss constraints and exception to the plan. He ensure CI on leading metrics like Scheduling Adherence & batch cycle times together with the Site Schedulers.
The role holder will agree a production plan and this must be signed off by the Production Planning Manager.
The role requires a full understanding of existing and future capacity and constraints from a production perspective, and a good understanding of how production capacity can be flexed to meet demand
Manage the production processes (MPS) resolving exception messages in accordance with S&OP rules.
Master Production Planning for a factory (or lines within) ·
Finite production and capacity planning based on factory calendars and MOQs
Balance service level and inventory against target, while understanding cost impacts on manufacturing
Reviews schedule adherence and improvement
Promotes effective relationships with the site
Inputs to inventory strategy on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs
Handle demand exceptions, working with Scheduler and Prod. Planning Mgr.
Monitor KPI's related to FINI and DC delivered by its production plant vs. targets, initiates actions to resolve issues and escalates toInventory and Deployment Manager when needed
Experience & Education
- University Education with at least 2 years’ experience in same role.
- Good level of experience planning in SAP.
- Project Management skills
- Fluent in English
