A Marine Personal Lines Underwriter will possess critical thinking, analytical and time-management skills to perform individual risk, aggregate, and portfolio underwriting. The Underwriter will work on a team that is responsible for evaluating a broad appetite of boat and yacht business written through various agency channels, and must also be effective working cross-functionally to drive results. managing a regional territory.   • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, math, finance or a related field, required (Advanced degree, preferred)
  • A minimum of 3 years of marine personal lines experience, preferred (For Recreational position- collector vehicle, motorsports, and/or watercraft)
  • A minimum of 2 years of personal lines underwriting experience, preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, analytics and time management skills, required
  • Must have the ability to embrace and promote change
  • Experience with data gathering, financial analytics, and trend identification, preferred
  • Must have strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Access, required
  • Prior experience with Cognos, preferred
  • CPCU or other industry coursework/designations, preferred
