Business Development Manager – DACH Region/German Speaking at Crayon

The role of Crayon Business Development Manager provides a broad scope for driving and developing net new revenue growth through identifying prospects for customer acquisition to fulfil a revenue target. As a key member of the European hub located in UK, you will be responsible for owning the relationship with customers and prospects, identify and close opportunities within Crayon’s solutions. Key solutions include Crayon Statistics Collaboration Solution (CSCS) and Crayon Online Room (COR) with additional workloads being introduced in H2 2020. This is an exciting time to be joining the team, we are growing rapidly and increasing our footprint within the European markets.

Role Objective & Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for achieving sales targets and objectives as agreed
  • Working closely with the Inside Sales Executives to prospect and propose Crayon solutions to IT stakeholders
  • Build, manage and report on a pipeline of opportunities to cover quarterly target, ensuring accurate reporting in CRM database or as otherwise required
  • Ownership and drive new revenue business opportunities from within prospect base
  • Understand the customer’s digital transformation status and propose Crayon’s Cloud solution
  • Own the end-to-end sales process from Lead generation, nature to customer onboarding and management
  • Understanding and continually develop market knowledge in competitor Products & Solutions
  • Working closely with customers/prospects as a trusted advisor, analysing and understanding customer needs
  • Proactively or as advised attend training sessions including web based self-learning courses to support personal development & maintain relevant product knowledge and skills

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Highly motivated and self-starting individual
  • Must be articulate in both verbal and written communication
  • Distinctly team player who has the ability to collaborate across the various departments to achieve common goals for the company
  • Proactive and results-oriented
  • Thrive with telephone and e-mail as a tool
  • Energetic with your own "drive " to succeed
  • >1-year phone-based sales success – outbound sales is critical
  • >1-year previous sales experience in the technology sector
  • Financial acumen necessary to help build business growth strategies for clients
  • Familiarity with the IT sales preferred

Education Qualifications

  • Minimum academic level required:
  • Experience from similar business area – technology experience is preferred
  • Education BA

Work Location & Hours of Work

  • Office based – Wooburn Green, HP10 0HH. Full time - 9.00am to 5.30pm
