Scope

The position requires a team player that is highly technical, organized, responsive and can handle multiple projects while producing accurate and timely results. The primary responsibilities of the position entail working on various challenging tax projects that may include assistance on business development, tax research and writing related to new U.S. Federal or state tax laws, regulations and other guidance. This position would also be instrumental in assisting with the implementation of that guidance in support of domestic and international tax compliance and financial reporting.The incumbent will also support the federal and state compliance teams at critical times and will use the experience gained in those efforts to recommend and implement changes to those processes and data gathering.Chubb is a dynamic organization that offers vast challenges and opportunities for growing one’s career.

Responsibilities

  • Consult on technical matters and special projects in various areas of U.S. federal, international and state corporate taxation
  • Review of Federal, International, State and Local Tax Compliance
  • Support U.S. GAAP income tax provision process, as needed
  • Recommend and implement improvements to tax compliance and provision processes


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent, Master's Degree, MST, JD or other applicable advanced degree preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • At least 10 years of tax experience with primary experience servicing large, multinational corporate clients - insurance tax experience a plus, but not required
  • Big 4 (or equivalent) public accounting experience having attained the level of Manager preferred
  • Very strong corporate tax technical and U.S. GAAP tax accounting skills
  • Excellent tax research abilities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Team player with solid work ethic who is creative, proactive and able to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Must be proficient in the MS Office Suite (Excel / Word / Outlook / PowerPoint); experience in OneSource and/or Corptax a plus
