Are you passionate about hardware products and interested in the opportunity to lead investment and portfolio strategy across Microsoft’s fast-growing Devices Business? We are looking for an experienced and talented leader to join the Devices Portfolio and Operations team

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead our near- and long-term investment and portfolio strategy, collaborating with partners across functional disciplines in engineering and finance. You will bring a variety of perspectives to our portfolio and investment plans (e.g., financial analysis, technology trends and market and customer insights) and help us find solutions to problems others have not yet seen. You will join a strong and passionate team, tackle complex cross-group challenges with clearly identified outcomes and plans, and manage a high-performing team
The leader in this position and their team deliver:
  • head count and product investment plans, aligned with product portfolio plans
  • a set of processes across the Devices org to manage and forecast spend (e.g., SOWs, contracts, negotiations, POs, etc…)
  • partnerships and strong relationships with the individual program leaders and their teams to understand risks, issues, and changes to our product roadmap

Qualifications

A successful candidate will have 10+ years of Finance and/or program management experience in a leading technology or consumer electronics company and 5+ years leading a team of finance and/or program management professionals
Other qualifications include:
  • Aptitude and passion for strategy formulation and program execution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; great attention to detail
  • Understanding of current hardware technologies and a perspective on their future
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others
  • Clear, concise, and convincing written and oral communication skills
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to successfully worked across different functional teams
  • BS/BA degree is required; MBA or equivalent work experience preferred
