Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Senior VFX Artist in Los Angeles, CA to create content of visual VFX across all areas of gaming. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Computer Animation, or related field or equivalent, and five (5) years of experience working with art and technology teams to create VFX to enhance gameplay. Prior experience must include five (5) years of using computer animation or modeling programs to apply story development, directing, cinematography, and editing to animation; creating two-dimensional and three-dimensional images depicting objects in motion; making characters and objects appear lifelike by manipulating light, color, texture, shadow, and transparency; using models to simulate the behavior of animated objects; building complex simulations of rigid body dynamics and fluid simulations and manipulating static images to give the illusion of motion; maintaining artistic goals and vision through all phases of the game development cycle, from pre-production through final product release; and scripting, planning, and creating animated narrative sequences using computer software and hand drawing techniques.
