Conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. Typically responsible for tests, methods, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement to software quality assurance and serviceability standards. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Ensures that system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved. Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Performs development and execution of software quality methods and processes. Implements and defines testing methodology and standards to improve results. Responsible for testing systems and applications software. After testing provides feedback to developers on potential changes. Works independently with other engineering functions from design through production to design, develop, and implement procedures for testing systems and equipment. Selects testing specifications for new products and ensures testing procedures are in compliance with industry specific standards.

We are seeking a talented, dynamic, hands-on Automation Quality Engineers (QE) to be part of Product Development team at RSA NetWitness division in Bangalore, India.

Role & Responsibilities

You will work closely with a team of software engineers and Product managers on overall RSA NetWitness Software solution and the components of NetWitness Product Suite. In this role, you will design test strategy, test cases and build automation test suite to validate the interoperability aspect of SDDC components and solutions.

  • Analyze requirements, develop automation for tests and tools, test strategies, and track defects to closure.
  • Perform both manual and automated test execution, debug and report issues
  • Act as a Feature lead with vision for the Quality team, test driven development mindset.
  • Looking from Customer perspective and focusing on solving problems and implementing solutions
  • Communicate with internal teams, distributed across geography, be able to engage stake holders outside the team.
  • Work independently and effectively within and across teams.

Required Skills

In this role, you will work independently and as a member of a team of engineers creating technical content and automation code to ensure interoperability quality of RSA NetWitness solution. You have the ability to work in a fast paced Agile environment demonstrating autonomy in conforming to strategic intent while adhering to team values.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
  • A proven track record of challenging projects, showing 3+ years of experience including automation and testing enterprise software.
  • Strong knowledge in back-end testing on Web Services, Database Internals, test automation tools and processes – including Jenkins, Selenium, CI/CD, Debugging and Git, or comparable products.
  • Knowledge of requirements, build a test strategy, test plan, create, execute and automate test cases, track defects and report results
  • Built and executed automated scripts or experience with automation tools (Python, Java, Perl)
  • Hands-on experience or knowledge working on Virtual Environments, and public Cloud environment.
  • You have experience working in Windows and Linux environment and clear about operating system fundamentals (task scheduling, memory management).
  • Fair concept of Networking, Storage and Compute Virtualization.
  • Hands on System Administration knowledge (installing and configuring operating systems and hardware).
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices and software design principles.
  • Excellent communication skill.
