SEB is one of the leading financial institutions in the Nordic region and started its activities in Luxembourg in the mid-1970s and today employs about 220 employees. SEB Investment Management, Luxembourg branch is the local representation of our asset management business. Around 70 sub-funds are registered in Luxembourg, representing a volume of about 25 bn Euros. We distribute those funds to retail and institutional investors in about 20 countries, focusing on the Nordic markets and central Europe.
We, SEB Investment Management AB Luxembourg Branch, are looking for a new team member to support our fund legal work (“paralegal officer”).

What you can expect

You will become a team member of SEB Investment Management AB, positioned in our Luxembourg branch. We are a legal unit located in 3 geographies, being Sweden (head office), Finland and Luxembourg, where collaboration and a high degree of personal responsibility are key elements.
In your role as a paralegal officer you will support the legal work on products and agreements of SEB Investment Management AB, Luxembourg branch. You will support and work closely together with the fund legal team at SEB S.A. Luxembourg as well as other colleagues in Luxembourg and Sweden.
In this role you will take care of the administrative work (and any other form of support, as required by the various projects). You will take care of the e-filing of prospectuses for visa stamping purposes (and circulating visa-stamped prospectuses with UCITS attestations to relevant stakeholders) and also liaise with the local authorities for fast track approval procedures (launches of new share classes, global prospectus updates involving all funds) and for other product related changes. You will also be in touch with our fund accounting team and our external fund auditors regarding the review of annual reports and long form reports. The maintenance of our internal service level agreements will also be part of your responsibilities. It will also be your role to support the Fund Legal team regarding the relevant knowledge management, such as maintaining a template library, archiving the official CSSF communication and memoranda issued by our in house lawyers and external counsels. You will also contribute with relevant legal research and document formatting related tasks, e.g. in project work.

What we expect

You have previous experience from working within the asset management business and a good understanding of the underlying value chain. We consider previous experience from working in a law firm or legal team in a management company as an advantage. You are a person with a positive character who is curious to learn and develop and have a flexible mind-set and ability to adjust. We expect you to enjoy working in a diverse and multi- national team. You are a meticulous and well organized person with high integrity, good judgement and excellent communication skills and we expect you to pay attention to details and permanently strive for improvements. Excellent English in writing and verbal-communication is a prerequisite, language skills in French or Swedish would be an additional asset.
