Quality Inspection Engineer at Philips

In this role, you have the opportunity to

You are responsible for:

  • Verifying conformance of materials to specifications, printed material criteria and workmanship standards to assure a safe product.
  • Support incoming inspection for electrical and mechanical commodities.
  • Perform functional test, visual and dimensional inspections per established inspection instructions under limited supervision.
  • Approval of inspection plans and other supporting documents on behalf of the inspection team
  • Carry out proofing activities and first article inspections
  • Providing training and guidance to inspectors working at benches.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • Associates Degree with Industry Experience or Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
  • Knowledge and application of Inspection Methods and Terms
  • Proficient in the use of the following precision measuring instruments (Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges, Multimeter, Durometer)
  • CMM (advanced use is a plus)
  • Other tools and fixtures as assigned
  • Use of microscope and other magnification tools
  • SAP experience is highly preferred
  • IPC-A-610 revision F Certification
  • Management of Inspection Plans
  • Performed first article inspections
