Intern Performance Engineer: In this role, the engineer will be supporting AMD’s Memory Systems performance architecture team. The primary responsibilities of performance architects include maintaining system performance models, characterizing workloads, conducting performance experiments, and optimizing system performance. The internship typically involves creating new performance analysis infrastructure and conducting related experiments to enhance AMD products.
Required Background: Masters or PhD candidate in Computer Engineering or related field; C++ and advanced software engineering principles; strong scripting background (e.g. Python); advanced computer architecture and design background; hands-on experience with microarchitecture performance models or system performance analysis
