Team Description
The internship with take place in SSU (SAMOA Services and UI) department, in the MBF (Mid and Office) division.
The MBF division is responsible for delivering business management applications to travel agencies and travel agency corporations.
The SSU department is an initiative to deliver sets of services (SAMOA: Services for Amadeus Mid-Office Applications) to help the integration of the travel agency requirements within the Amadeus central world.
SAMOA services consist of business logic handling different after sales work flows of the travel agent resulting in valuable data for the travel agent, like invoices, payments, credit balances of customers, …

Main responsibilities
Today Amadeus offers many tools, which help you in monitoring the production environment. All of these tools offer great benefit to guarantee production stability and early raising of possible issues.

Due to the changes in technology (virtualization, cloud computing, …) more and more monitoring tools need to be used to handle this complex environment.
To ease detection of issues and to know the overall stability of the application, a dashboard needs to be created which aggregates different sources into one clear view.
The purpose of this internship is to understand the exiting monitoring tools which are available, investigate how they can be integrated and develop a dashboard using the data of those tools.
The trainee’s responsibilities will cover:

  • Defining interesting metrics in close collaboration with our development team
  • Explore existing Amadeus monitoring tools
  • Define software design for data collection from those tools
  • Prototype of dashboard
