The Product Manager (PM), is responsible for managing the innovation, identification, development and launch of Impro Technologies Access Control and 3rd Party products targeted and optimized for the key channel and market segments including distributors, OEMs, System Integrators and End-Users.
Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following, but not limited too.
The PM is responsible for defining market requirements with the marketing manager and packaging the features into MRDs and product releases. The position involved interaction with development leads, product architects, and key customers. Job duties include gathering requirements from Sales marketing managers, prospects, evaluators and customers, writing marketing requirement documents and monitoring the implementation of a product project.

The PM is responsible for;

  • Documenting product roadmap for focused area

  • Competitive product analysis, landscape and write-ups

  • Monitoring industry innovations, standards and associations and ensure Impro remains relevant with its product portfolio

  • Defining user personas for individual products

  • Product contract with development teams

  • Writing market requirements documents

  • Monitoring product performance, full P&L and portfolio of product line

  • Developing initial product forecasting

  • Documenting strategic marketing roadmap for focused areas, capturing total solution set

  • Leading Beta plan for product and feature readiness

  • Assist with product pricing and costing process

  • Models, Brands and part numbers

  • OEM and custom requests

  • Develop the go to market strategy for each product category.

Additional Responsibilities;

  • Develops vertical product and channel plans and deliverables for Access Control markets

  • Continuously monitors customer's needs and competition to discern dynamics that may impact the business; prepares proactive initiatives to address changing needs.

  • Analysis marketing and technology trends for product lines, Develops and manages proper marketing mix

  • Develops launch strategy document with the marketing department to support each product launch that includes; (Collaterals, White Papers, target markets, positioning, competitive, comparisons, presentations, training, pricing and promotions.
  • Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelors Degree of Equivalent Experience

  • Considerable product management experience; Access Controlpreferred

  • Must have formal Program Management / Product delivery experience

  • Experience of managing product life cycles

  • Ability to conduct financial and market analysis
    Language Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
    Computer Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
    Work Requirements

  • Travel and fieldwork including international travel, therefore employee must possess or can acquire a valid Passport with no restrictions.
