About Me

I’m inquisitive, compassionate, and driven to communicate. I’ve spent my 27 years as a student of the world and now I’m anxious to contribute to it. I’ve honed the bedrock skills of critical thinking and meaningful communication valuable in any of the many fields that excite the philosopher in me. I have a constant thirst for knowledge. I... love to read. I’m a history buff who keeps abreast of current events.

A seasoned traveler and “a third culture kid,” I’m flexible and can adapt to a wide variety of organizational systems and environments. As a philosopher and a world-class debater, I've trained my mind to view a problem from all sides. Yes, I can fit into your organization but I will bring a fresh perspective too. Finding unique solutions and using my talents, drive and resources to see them through thrills me.

Delta Delta Delta

I never thought I would join a sorority, but I am so glad I did. I not only gained lifelong friends, I learned interpersonal skills you can only get from living in a house with an amazing but a diverse group of women. It also gave me the chance to give back. I was active in our chapter philanthropy, including various fundraising activities for St. ...Jude’s Children Hospital and local charities. I coordinated “philanthropy night” recruitment event for 210 people.

Debating

Since 2005, I have been competing in British Parliamentary tournaments, the perfect combination of everything I love. Since we only get the topic fifteen minutes before hand and we often have even less time to absorb and react our opponent's comments, it requires quick analytic thinking. I must have an understanding of global politics, economics a...nd culture.
I have traveled from Botswana to Vancouver for debating. Obviously, you must be able to speak persuasively and reasonably. Debating has shown me the world, taught me to think quickly and analytically, and honed my skills as an excellent public speaker. All things that make me an asset to any firm.

Comedy

The only thing I like more than laughing is making others laugh. I take classes in short-form comedy improvisation and I have put my lessons to the test in well-received improvisation performances. I’m just starting out, but I have written and performed stand-up in New York City, Washington DC, Amsterdam and London. Comedy is a powerful means o...f communication and it has enhanced my ability to make information accessible yet compelling to the public.

Traveling

I've been fortunate enough to travel to many countries and I want to continue to do so. I've read and written a lot of philosophy but I've learned true understanding comes from travel. The only way you can know a place is by meeting its people, tasting its food, dancing to its music, hiking its byways, and smelling its particular aromas. My ex...perience and insight of the world stage we all traverse will serve a future employer well.
